Today I have a quick bulk Christmas card idea for you. I've done this in 5 colourways and made 4 cards in each colour, so a total of 20 Christmas cards.
Here's how I made them:
For each set of 4 cards (of one colour) you need:
3 sheets of white A4 cardstock
1 sheet of 12" x 12" coloured cardstock
3" strip of green
Versamark ink
embossing buddy
gold or silver embossing powder
Merry Christmas stamp (mine was a freebie off the Australian Simply Cards magazine)
heat tool
Spellbinders Poinsettia die
corner die
cosmic shimmer glue
microbeads to match ink colour (silver or gold)
fine gold or silver cord to match ink colour
From the white cardstock cut 2 sheets in half at 14.8cm then score and fold them at 10.5cm to make the card bases.
From the coloured cardstock cut 2 x 12mm (1/2") strips and set aside for later. Then cut 2 pieces 10.2cm and recut cut each strip into 2 x 10.2cm x 14.5cm pieces. You will be left with a strip of coloured cardstock to cut your poinsettias from.
Carefully cut numbers 1, 2 & 3 from the spellbinders poinsettias set. You will need to squeeze them up tightly on your left over strip to get 4 sets, please note it can be done. You may need to cut the last of them from the rectangles you just cut, if you aren't really careful. If you do, be careful with placement so the cut outs can't be seen through the die cut corner on the top layer of the card.
Glue or tape the coloured rectangles to the card bases, be aware of placement if you've cut poinsettias from them.
From your last sheet of white cardstock, cut 4 x 9.7 x 14cm. Using them in the landscape direction, die cut the corner die from the top right hand corner.
Stamp the Merry Christmas stamp in the bottom right hand corner and heat set with the heat tool.
Take the coloured strips from earlier and cut them to 4 strips of 12mm x 14cm. Glue/tape to card above the sentiment.
Take the silver/gold chord and rap a piece of chord along the length of the coloured strip and tape into place on the back. Tie a triple bow and glue into place above the sentiment.
Attach panel to the card with foam double sided tape.
From green cardstock die cut 4 x #3 poinsettia. Curve the edges of the petals of each layer of the poinsettia up. Glue the layers together, alternating the petals on each layer. Place a good size dollop of cosmic shimmer glue in the centre of each flower and coat with microbeads. Allow the glue to set then use glue or silicone to attach to the left hand side of the card.
And this is the end result.......20 Christmas cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers
Jenelle
