Papers and Pixels

Hello Bloggers,

Just a short blog today.  I am really excited to let you all know that I have been featured in an American online magazine called Papers and Pixels, I feel quite honoured.

PapersAndPixelsMayCover (2)

I had put a picture of one of my cards in my gallery on Splitcoaststampers, were I was approached by Laura Boetto, who is the Editor in Chief of Papers and Pixels, asking if she could a little article on me for the magazine.  I was over the moon, how exciting!  Now it has all come to fruition and I am in the May 2013 edition.

It just goes to show how easily these things can happen.  So don’t be shy guys, join Splitcoaststampers or somewhere similar and get your cards out there, be proud of your efforts and show the world.  It’s exciting and fun, it’s also quite interesting to read the feed back on your gallery.

Click “here” to be taken to their website.  It is only $1.50 USD for a copy of their magazine and they do have quite interesting articles in their magazine.

Thank you Papers and Pixels for including me in your magazine.

Thanks for looking

Kookaburra Crafts Class Cards

I thought I would share some cards I’ve made for Kookaburra Crafts for class cards.  Both of these cards use the Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight. We decided to do another week of one die two ways.  I hope you love these as much as Jacqui and I do.

Because You Have Loved Me

This card uses Ivory Linen cardstock, Bazzil Basics cardstock, the beautiful Designer Paper is by Graphic 45 “Beautiful Blooms”, Spellbinders “A2 Filigree Delight”, Spellbinders “Lacey Pennants”, Spellbinders “Bitty Blossoms”, Cheery Lynn Designs “Butterflies – DL 112”, Cheery Lyn Designs “Angel Wings – DL112A”, Justrite Papercrafts “For All You Do Vintage Labels 3”, Adirondack Ink “Pool”, Ranger Distress Inks by Tim Holtz “Broken China”

I spent the day with Jacqui “playing” to design this card, I had everything worked out and the bulk of things cut out and ready to go and ran out of time, so I kindly left Jacqui to finish it off, she just loves it when I do that to her.

A Mothers Day Card

Hello bloggers, I hope everyone is well and looking forward to Mothers Day this Sunday.  Unfortunately I have to work, but my gorgeous Daughter, Briana, went with friends to a horse show at Gatton on the weekend and spent her money on a present for me for Mothers Day and couldn’t wait a week to give it to me, so I had my day a week early.

Now on with my card for today, I have made a Mothers Day card using the beautiful Spellbinders die set Elegant Labels 4.  I love these new sets Spellbinders have brought out.

Happy Mothers Day

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for a Mothers Day challenge at Kookaburra Crafts, but Jacqui made me promise not to put it online until the challenge closed.

So the challenge has closed, I don’t know who won, but voting is now over so I think I’m safe to post it.

For this card I have used, Bazzil Basics cardstock, designer paper from one of the many pads of paper I have at home, Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4, Spellbinders Wonderful Wings, Spellbinders Standard Circles Large, Flower Punches by Nellie Snellen, Cheery Lynn Designs Wreath Strip and the sentiment is from JustRite Papercraft. All of my flowers are handmade.
